Required if any of these apply:
- ISDN lines
- Hunt groups

Mobile Verification Process
Mobile ports include an additional ownership verification step:
- A unique verification code is sent to each phone number being ported (via SMS or call)
- You must provide each code to BlazeSMS to confirm ownership
- All numbers must be verified before the port can proceed
LOA Requirements
- Save as a non-editable PDF
- Fill in all required fields completely
- Information must match your current carrier's records exactly
- Address must be a local Australian address (required for emergency services)
Common Rejection Reasons
| Reason | How to Fix |
|---|---|
| Company information mismatch | Verify exact company name and details with current carrier before submitting |
| Complex services not declared | Check for hunt groups, ISDN, or bundled services — let BlazeSMS know so the port is classified as CAT C |
| Associated numbers | Ask current carrier to disassociate linked numbers, or port all associated numbers together |
| Disconnected number | Ensure all numbers are still in-service — do NOT cancel with current carrier before port completes |
FOC Date Changes
Once your port date is confirmed:
- Minimum 48 business hours' notice required before the scheduled FOC date
- Contact [email protected] to request changes
Key Definitions
- CAT A/C/Special: Australian port categories that determine the complexity and timeline of a port. Category is based on the services attached to the number, not the number itself.
- ABN (Australian Business Number): A unique 11-digit identifier for businesses registered in Australia. Required for business account ports.
- Hunt Group: A feature where incoming calls are distributed across multiple lines — triggers CAT C classification.
- ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network): A type of digital phone line — triggers CAT C classification.
- PBX (Private Branch Exchange): A private telephone network within an organization — triggers CAT C classification.
Notes
- Australia's category system means you MUST correctly identify your port type upfront — misclassification is a common rejection reason
- Mobile porting has the most stringent identity requirements (2 forms of government ID)
- The mobile verification step (SMS/call codes) is unique to Australia and must be completed before the port proceeds
- Never cancel your service with the current carrier before the port completes — disconnected numbers cannot be ported
- Invoice must be recent (within 30 days)
