Restrictions & Special Conditions
- Porting hours: Port execution occurs during 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM local time (Chile timezone). This overnight window minimizes service disruption but means the cutover happens outside normal business hours.
Key Definitions
- RUT (Rol Único Tributario): Chile's unique taxpayer identification number, assigned to both individuals and businesses. Required as part of the porting documentation.
Notes
- Chile has a comprehensive document requirement (six items) — gather all documents before initiating the port request
- Like Brazil, Chile has longer porting timelines (5+ days) compared to North American and European countries
- The overnight porting window (midnight to 4 AM) means you should plan for the actual number transfer to occur during these hours
- All three number types (local, national, toll-free) share the same document requirements and timeline
